I am sitting here listening to Christmas music and smelling my pumpkin pie, whose crust is very sad-looking, but oh man it smells delicious! We just helped the kids make thankful lists. So here goes just a few of mine.
First and foremost, on this day, I am thankful for TURKEY. Nothing really makes me happier on this day than turkey. I will eat it hot or cold. GOBBLE GOBBLE!!!!!
I am thankful for my sweet, sweet, family.
I am thankful for hot dogs, mac & cheese, & cereal cause these are dinners my kids love (and me too).
I am thankful for fingerprints alllllll over the windows, walls, doors, TV screen. It shows just where my little kids can reach and someday they will be all grown up.
I am thankful for a husband who takes such good care of us. He is such a good man & my better half.
I am thankful for the billions of diapers I have changed in my life. If it means I am doing my job, taking care of the most precious things I have, then I am happy to do it.
I am thankful for hot showers, which seem to have the power to wash everything bad down the drain sometimes. I am especially grateful for hot showers I am able to take without a single person barging in.
I am thankful for my health. I don’t get sick much and right now while I feel like my lymph nodes are the size of basketballs I am so so so thankful for my health.
I am thankful for parents who worked so hard to build a strong family and with whom I have a great relationship.
I am thankful for my 5 younger siblings, each of them are awesome. I love coming from a big family.
I am thankful for in-laws who have always made me feel completely part of their family. I have never felt anything less.
I am thankful for the wonderful, good people around me who are so kind and inspire me to be better.
I am thankful for the friends who are there for me and who I can stay up late with talking & laughing.
I am thankful for my Savior. He is my rock and my strength and because of his love and sacrifice I can keep trying to become the person I was meant to be, despite my many, many mistakes.
I am thankful to be alive, to be a mom. I am thankful for overflowing laundry, dishes, plastic toys I hurt my feet on, shoes and coats strewn about, old sippy cups tucked under the couch, yards of unrolled toilet paper, moments when I can’t hear myself think, owies to kiss, time outs, snotty noses, lots of “I love you”s, hugs. It means my house is full, full of joy, and messes oh yeah messes, but I’d take messes with the joy any day.

Ditto! That is what I am thankful for too. (Except the sippy cup thing because we are past that stage. =)) You're awesome!
